Perhaps no topic I talk about in workshops gains more immediate and heartfelt groans than the topic of meetings.
You likely attended too many last week.
You likely attended at least one last week that was a waste of your time.
You likely can think of a recent meeting that you didn’t even know why you had been invited.
The idea behind a meeting – to bring people together to create, solve or decide things, and to use the collective value of the group to move work forward or make work easier – is hard to argue with.
Yet most of us don’t see those kind of results nearly often enough.
So I say “”stop the (meeting) madness!”
This is why I created and offered this teleseminar to the members of our Remarkable Leadership Learning System. After leading the call, I decided to offer a recorded version to our non-members – including you. In this hour I shared key ideas to make meetings more effective and productive, and what you can do to facilitate meetings more effectively, every time.
When you think about the number of meetings you attend, and think about how much time is wasted when they are poorly planned and facilitated, you can see how quickly your investment of time and money will be repaid – especially when you can spread the cost across as many people as can sit in a conference room to hear this special encore presentation.
Few habits can improve the productiveness and attitude of a team more than having better meetings. Just one implemented idea from this call will repay the investment in your first meeting, giving you a massive return on investment across the numerous meetings you will attend and lead during your career.
I hope you will join me for this application-filled hour to help you make every meeting you lead more effectively, starting right away!
